Positions for which we may have openings include:

Veterinary Receptionists

Receptionists must have experience in customer care, phone etiquette, and clerical tasks.  They must be personable, customer service oriented individuals who are computer literate and have excellent written and verbal skills.  Multi-tasking ability is required.  A love for pets is essential as well as compassion and understanding for the pets’ owners.  Duties include greeting clients and pets, answering phones, invoicing and receiving payment, record keeping, filing, faxing, generating and copying reports, and other office tasks.  Receptionists are responsible for effective communication and education of clients concerning their pets’ medical needs.

Veterinary Technicians or Veterinary Assistants

Technicians have obtained a two year college degree at an accredited veterinary technician school.  Assistants are not required to have formal training or a college degree, but obtain their training as part of their work experience.  Technicians and Assistants need strong communication skills and computer literacy.  Duties include assisting the doctor, educating the pet owners about their pets’ medical needs, maintenance of hospital equipment, daily care of out patient and hospitalized patients, performing laboratory tests and medical treatments.  Experience is necessary in pharmacy, radiology, surgery, anesthesia, and dentistry.

Kennel Assistants

Kennel Assistants must possess love and compassion for animals and an ability to complete tasks independently, displaying initiative and enthusiasm.  They are responsible for providing care and comfort to pets housed in the boarding and grooming areas, and maintaining order and cleanliness of the hospital.
